to *Shangwe – the site that promotes the
development of new Black British creative writing/literature,
e.g. poetry, autobiography, essays with a focus
on Black & Mixed-Race women’s writing
of African & African-Caribbean descent.
The aims of the
site are to
Inform, inspire and empower UK black & mixed-race
women who write creatively by building their
confidence and encouraging their participation
in the arts; promote and enhance the development
of diverse creative writing from new and unpublished
talented writers; provide a virtual space for
contributors to showcase their creative writing.
