An experienced Creative Writing Tutor, Freelance Writer/Editor Arts Consultant and Published Poet, Nicole Moore is the Founder of Shangwe and the co-founder of Words of Colour Productions. Nicole has taught creative writing as a writer in residence in Islington primary schools, at the Centerprise Literature Development Agency and as an Associate Lecturer for Open University. Her poetry writing is diverse and includes themes that explore issues of identity, gender, race, culture and heritage. Her work has been published in Poetry Today Anthologies, Calabash, Writing in Education, Public Sector and The Weekly Gleaner (UK).
Nicole’s arts/literary projects have involved travelling to the United States and the Caribbean giving her the opportunity to promote intercultural dialogue and exchange information.

In September 2004, Nicole’s commitment to black women’s literature and creative writing took a significant leap as she was awarded funding from the Arts Council England to develop, compile and independently publish an Anthology of black and mixed race women’s creative writing.
