Book Readings/Interviews

Shangwe has edited and independently produced three anthologies of creative writing (personal essays and poems) by black and mixed-race women:

  • Brown Eyes (2005) funded by the Arts Council England, East Midlands.
  • Sexual Attraction Revealed (2007).
  • Hair Power - Skin Revolution (2010) funded by the Arts Council England, London.

As a result Nicole Moore, Editor, has a wide experience of providing numerous readings and interviews during Black History Month, at literary & film festivals, libraries, arts events, book shops, theatres, universities and businesses along with participating in interviews with mainstream and community radio and social media groups. These activities have continued to inform, inspire and empower those diverse and often interactive and international audiences.
